It all started with our Mexican-American union!
In February, 2018, we tied the knot at a beautiful hacienda here in Querétaro; Hacienda Los Albos. The venue was perfect, the weather sublime, and we had a simply incredible time. But, the greatest joy we experienced was having our friends and family come from all over the United States, and we absolutely loved playing host and tour guides.
Some of our guests had the usual concerns and reservations - is Querétaro safe? Where should we stay? What should we do and see while we are there? Where should we eat? Will we get sick? Do we need pesos? ... and other such legitimate questions. We jumped into host mode arranging accommodations at one of our favorite hotels, making maps of the city, marking the best places to eat in the neighborhood, arranging day trips to San Miguel and Tequisquiapan, and in general, had a blast walking our loved ones through the streets of this gorgeous city. With a combined 25+ plus years in the tourism and food industries, we couldn't help ourselves, and we couldn't have enjoyed it any more than we did!
Our friends and family commented repeatedly, that having local hosts made all the difference! They loved the casual, out of the way places they were able to explore, felt more comfortable trying new foods, and even felt empowered to explore on their own. In fact, they can't wait to come back! So, the idea was born, and, as they say, the rest is history!
We would love to welcome you, as we did our family, and make you feel at home on your visit here. We look forward to meeting you and supporting you as you explore the city make memories that will last a lifetime.
Saludos,
Davíd and Annamaria
