The name Casamada is a fusion of the Spanish words for "house" and "love". It is the perfect name for this hotel where the artwork, styling, and attention to detail in every room is truly next level and an expression of the owner's love for her first passion project.
Nestled into a quiet neighborhood just a short 15-minute walk to the Plaza Principal, Casamada is the ideal home base for your exploration through San Mike's colorful, cobblestone streets.
Each of the cozy 8 rooms are uniquely decorated and fully equipped with all the amenities a traveler may need like free wifi, tv with apps like Netflix and Youtube, a hairdryer, air conditioning, etc.
Listen to the birds and you enjoy a cappuccino, tea or cocktail on the roof top terrace, or get re-grounded in the meditation nook. The space has been artfully designed to be a beautiful extension of the garden outside. There are an abundant little nooks to relish in a bit of rest.
The restaurant is open from 9 am to 2 pm and serves fabulous breakfasts, coffee, and more. The homemade biscuits and marmalade featuring flavor combinations like orange and rosemary, red wine and strawberry, and guava and bougainvillea blossoms are a must. We also tried the chilaquiles with chicken, which were outstanding, and the torta de cochinita pibil, another winner. The pork was some of the most succulent I have tasted in a torta, and the pibil marinade was simply stunning. We can't wait to go back so we can try the rest of the menu!
Bring Fido if you like! The hotel and restaurant are pet friendly, and the park on the corner is the perfect spot for you both to stretch your legs.
